LAB EVALUATION COMPONENT (EC-1)
As part of the lab evaluation component under EC-1 for the Distributed Computing course, the following programming assignments are to be completed. The completed assignments should be submitted to the elearn portal under the Lab Component (EC-1) section (below the Quiz component) in the course page. The deadline for the submission is 29th March 2018.
As per the handout, the total weightage for this evaluation component is 10%. The assignment consists of 2 problems. Below is given the problem statements of the assignments and the individual weightage for each of them. For submission, you have to adhere to the following instructions:
· Put the source file/files, the executable files and a README file for each problem in a separate folder.
· Each folder should be named in a manner so that it reflects the corresponding problem solution contained in it.
· Finally, create a zipped folder containing the two solution folders and submit the final zipped folder to the elearn portal.
· The README files should contain the relevant information required for compiling and executing each of the codes for evaluation. The README files should also contain the format of the input to be given to each of the programs. It is mandatory to include the README file in your submission.
· Note that you should only submit a single zipped folder containing the above mentioned contents. Also, the solution of each problem should be present in a separate folder inside the final zipped folder.
The assignments are based on the concepts and algorithms included in the syllabus. The syllabus for this lab component includes topics covered in Lectures 1 to 8. The programs are to be implemented in C/ C++/ Java. Any other programming language other than C, C++ or Java will not be considered.

2. Write a program to implement Schiper-Eggli-Sandoz protocol. [5%]
