Ibuprofen is a medication in the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) class that is used for treating pain, fever, and inflammation. This includes painful menstrual periods, migraines, and rheumatoid arthritis. It may also be used to close a patent ductus arteriosus in a premature baby. It can be used by mouth or intravenously. It typically begins working within an hour.

Common side effects include heartburn and a rash. Compared to other NSAIDs, it may have other side effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding. It increases the risk of heart failure, kidney failure, and liver failure. At low doses, it does not appear to increase the risk of heart attack; however, at higher doses it may. Ibuprofen can also worsen asthma. While it is unclear whether it is safe in early pregnancy, it appears to be harmful in later pregnancy and therefore is not recommended. Like other NSAIDs, it works by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins by decreasing the activity of the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX). Ibuprofen is a weaker anti-inflammatory agent than other NSAIDs.

Ibuprofen was discovered in 1961 by Stewart Adams and John Nicholson while working at Boots UK Limited and initially marketed as Brufen. It is available under a number of trade names, including Nurofen, Advil and Motrin. It was first marketed in 1969 in the United Kingdom and in 1974 in the United States. It is on the World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines. It is available as a generic medication. In 2018, it was the 28th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than 24 million prescriptions.

2013 January 9 (Rape and Tricolor painted on every bench)

Index of Journals
9-Jan-2013

Morning 0800: I was at Yash's house. I thought I needed to talk to someone who can help me with my problem that is more like mental. I told him to call me if he is able to contact Asha Menon to talk to me. I told him to use my landline number, as I was not going to open my phone now until I don't have a damn need of it, only after college reopens.

- Religious songs playing as I was sitting in the bathroom and not doing anything, great.

- Gurarchi's phone was off at night and in the morning too, okay, I hope that the number stops existing.

Then around 2100: I was at Appu’s door. I thought I should ask him if his father can help me with the fact that I need some space to study and his father owns a flat in C-block that is like a guest house for special people coming for treatment in his hospital.

- I had come back from walk on peripheral rounds and as I enter the floor zero of B1 block from Raju's area, I see [Look Alike] of the Dhruv’s dead grandfather. Trying to climb the stairs nearer to the flat number '2', which was brutal.

- Ashwin’s father (Jains) looking at me like I have been r*ped or something. I was not feeling a thing after having spent the day sitting around or with Srishti, Prachi etc or then sleeping after breakfast. I need to feel like home here. Also the situations look favorable.

1352 - 1500: I was outside to spend some time on the swings with Anushka

Diwij Munjal had went up before when I was leaving the B1 block, and he did handshake when he was coming down again when I was entering building again.

Tri-color painted horizontally on the back-rest of every bench in the central park. I came over here on one on which Anushka and her intelligent friend was sitting.

Surveillance: Following, bird watching, eye balling : it is all still on, good that I never had a direct reception.

I AM NOT GOING TO EXPAND. I AM RATHER GOING TO BE SITTING MY A** IN THE BED AND TRY TO BE LIKE STEPHEN HAWKING OR ALBERT EINTSTEIN THAN BE OUT THERE AND GIVING WAY TO ANY OF THE FAGGOTS I WILL SEE IN THE TIME TO COME UNTIL I DONT FEEL SITUATIONS ARE LIKE NORMAL. NO EXPANSION, AT ALL.

THIS WAS ALL AND EVERYTHING A BULLS**T DRAMA AROUND ME OF PUTTING UP PEOPLE WHOM I THOUGHT WERE GOING TO HELP. THEY WANTED ME TO BE RUNNING AROUND AND AFTER THEM, KNOCKING ON THEIR DOORS AND LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT, AND THEN SIT BACK AFTER THEY SIMPLY DISCARD ME AFTER LISTENING TO ME. WOW, WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING.

Dr Shashi Sethi and Angela Chandel (Nov 2020)

Index of Journals
Let's go to the time of Diwali 2020.

Saturday, 14 November, 2020

Midnight of a day or two before Diwali, my psychologist was going to pass away from heart attack.

At first moment, I didn't even bother except for the rush of the hormones in the body that accompany when you hear about loss of someone whom you knew personally.

To this day, I seem to be holding grudge against her for what she had said to me near the end of first meeting.

"We can fix you", she had said.

At that moment, I wanted to tell her what Charles Xavier had told adolescent Jean Grey that there is nothing to fix as am not broken.

She was single handedly managing the Issh Guidance and Counseling center.

30-40 interns (mostly young women, undergraduates).

Two other staff:
Anupama Gambhir, 7 years of experience then. [But does not speak English fluently]
And Angela Chandel, 2-3 years of experience.

Roughly three days after Dr Shashi passed away, there was an online (due to Covid-19) and public grievance (obituary) ceremony for her.

Angela forwarded me the invite for that on an afternoon when I was at work with Anil Dahiya.

Angela's life was going to take an unprecedented turn.

I thought I would support her by taking help from her as she had written in one of the texts:

Please let us know if you need further help.

I took one session from her. Telephonic. An hour long at a not so good negotiated price.

Network problems didn't also allow us to have video call. We didn't even try it, she was in Himachal, Kasaul and network coverage was poor in her area she said.

What hurt me was that she was difficult person to approach if this is not about counseling.

It would be wrong to say that the first session I had with her was futile. She taught me things, cleared my doubts and gave me a direction with which I was going to lead my life that time onwards.

360 Degree Feedback For Me

Index of Journals
Srishti Jain (cousin), 20210630

A. Start Doing

1. Taking care of yourself more and have some normal basic fun things- alone or with people. (For example I like to cook food for myself and watch Netflix alone.) Do something that you enjoy and makes you relax.

2. Elevate/improve your lifestyle a little bit - occasional cooking for yourself, better living conditions, spend money on yourself - grooming, clothes etc. & get a hobby.

3. Connecting with family once in a while and being transparent with them. Let them know you’re okay. Ask them how they’re doing for a change. Everybody has their own problems. It’s good to keep in touch.
Your family will always be there for you no matter what.

4. Meditate or talk to therapist on a regular basis.

B. Things to continue doing

1. Being independent

2. Keeping in touch with our roots and practising non-violence which ingrained in us. (I hope you’re doing that. It goes a long way.)

3. Keep focusing on your job and being educated. That’s very important.

4. Keep taking your medication seriously and following it timely as prescribed by the doctor.

5. Keep continuing to dream of having your own startup one day - even if it’s at 50. Keep it alive if it’s your passion.

C. Stop Doing

1. Fixating on money a lot.
Nobody becomes a bigger/smaller person by having more/less money. It’s just something you use to buy basic necessities for yourself and family. But real happiness is not from that.

2. Fixating on property stuff. You’re better than that. It doesn’t take anybody anywhere.

None of that feeling was worth cutting off your grandparents for so long. Be happy with what you have. At least you don’t have a big family to feed or old family loans to repay. You’ll get whatever there is later in life - don’t keep waiting for that. And none of that should matter to you anyway - you’re educated, you can create whatever you want for yourself. (That’s how we all were raised, never heard of any property talk before, never even thought of it. I was surprised to know that you think of all that. I know for myself - that I’ll create everything myself and don’t need anything passed down to me.)

3. Stop being unreachable and aloof all the time.

4. Stop rushing in life. Like marrying, buying a house etc. Don’t put an ‘age’ number to these things. Do things at your own pace. There is no ideal speed for it.

Kusang Lhamo

1992-January-1, Owner of 'Tenzin Tibet Kitchen'

  1. What is the one factor that contributed most in what you have achieved in life?

It's my own inspiration. And my eagerness...

  2. What is your single biggest achievement?

    Waiting for the biggest achievement...

  3. What is the one lesson that you learnt the hard way?

Never ever depend on the others.

Never ever depends on the others..
  4. What is the one thing that you would like to change about India to make it a better country?

People should think of themselves as part of a greater community as 'Indians' rather than having individualistic mindset and selfishness.
There should be oneness in people. And corruption should not be there.

  5. What would be your message to anyone aspiring success?

Never give up in the hard times.
If you want to achieve anything, be prepared for the struggle.

  6. What is the biggest mistake that you have ever made?

I wish to be independent. I relied a lot on others.
I wish to be self-reliant, not exactly independent.

  7. Please tell us about the toughest times you have ever had, the most testing times that you have been through.

Covid period were one of the toughest times for my business and myself.
I advise everyone to save for the rainy days.

  8. What is the one thing that motivates you the most?

My biggest motivator is my uncle (brother of my mother). He is also a spiritual teacher.

  9. What is the one thing that worries you the most?

I would not advice anyone to worry about the process of achieving anything.
I worry for the freedom of my people and my country.

  10. Please tell us about your five year plan. Personally and professionally.

I will (not 'try', not 'want') open a bigger outlet in the next five years.
I said 'not try' because when you say 'try', you never do, you keep trying.

  11. Define 'hard work'.

'Hard work' means doing what's necessary, whether big or small task, you don't care, you do it anyway.
Women today should not backout or back away from 'lifting heavy weights' by making excuses that 'this is too heavy for me' or 'I cannot do it'.
Along with hard work, smart work is also required, which means setting smart goals and achieving them.
    Smart goals means:
    % Specific
    % Measurable
    % Attainable
    % Relevant
    % Time-based

  12. What are the three things that are most important to you in a job?

    1. Leadership quality
    2. Laziness will not work, eagerness will.
    3. "Do it today" attitude.
    4. Smart work.
    5. Personal life and professional life should be separate.
Question was interpreted differently, she answered from the point of hiring a candidate for a job.

  13. Tell me about a time when you were asked to do something you had never done before. How did you react? What did you learn?

I had to do something new yesterday. I didn't know how to do it so I took help from a friend, learnt how to do it and did it.

  14. Give an example of when you had to work with someone who was difficult to get along with. How did you handle interactions with that person?

It depends on the attitude of that person towards me and my attitude towards him or her.
I believe that person will come to understand me (if not today) then maybe a day or two later.

  15. Tell me about the last time something significant didn't go according to the plan.
What was your role? What was the outcome?

"Patience is the key ingredient to successful execution of any plan."

  16. Describe a situation in which you embraceda new system, process, technology, or idea that was a major departure from the old way of doing things.

I want to express my experiences from my restaurant.
Let us say there is a customer A and customer B.
Customer A makes the following requests:
    1. Soup be made thicker.
    2. Food be served after a time duration or gap after soup.
    3. Like playing a song on repeat.
Every customer teaches me something new.
I cannot yell at a customer, who yelling at me. Restaurant is a professional place for me. I cannot make it a place for screaming match.
I have to maintain my behavior and voice/tome that is pleasing.
Behavior of customer A might be irritating to the customer B but at the end bothe are my customers.
I handle customer A to the best treatment possible when alone and accordingly when in presence of other customers.
Some customers who come lack patience.
    1. Customer wants fresh food.
    2. They also want it immediately.
Now these are opposite to each other.

2013 Apr 24 (Dad's death anniversary, aunt calls me h-rami and event of Mahavir Jayanti)

Index of Journals
24-Apr-2013

It was BHANDARA outside on the event of MAHAVIR JAYANTI (Birth of Lord Mahavir).

1230: Seema aunt brought the food home and there's voice from outside calling out the word ‘HARAMI’ (roughly it means Free-Loader in English, however it is considered derogatory and vulgar in Hindi).

I sat to study and negative thoughts flared up in my head around 1400 that what if I get a lose hand from society later.

I changed and went out for a fixed time and proper serious service.

B11 Jain uncle was there, and he said to me ‘I should go and see myself if work is left outside’.

• Hardik had called Prashant but he didn’t go and later Kumkum bua was scolding him.

• 16 minutes of serving

• Hardik's father came and took over the middle serving of sweet-dish (HALWA).

• Cold drink was handed over to me, so, and then Puneet’s (Ponky's) dad took over.

• It had been vacant earlier but then it was crowded again – kids and women, stupid reminders, and bullsh*tting people. I was authoritative and serious so didn’t face any problem in handling them.

• I came in with Vidhu and I see it crowded over here with B1 ladies like it was some party of something, pathetic stupid home-maker women.

• was not smiling, I was serious, and nothing so funny was going on in me, faces of these people were worth watching, smiling as if something for show and entertainment was happening.

• It was all the colors – 'black & red' (Infrared), green & blue, red & blue (United States), lemon (Mahima's assets)

• My right hand pained afterwards, I put the CBA on it.

In the event where Veena and Mudita went to eat, I went over to be the host. I have not gone to eat in the last three events 17 Feb, 24 Apr and 27 Apr.

2013 Mar 16 (Brain Stoning by Mudita Gupta continues)

Index of Journals
16 March 2013
Early by 1030: brain stoning continues the hammering on the wall right above along the vertical line from the point of my bed-cushion. It is so thumping so that one can feel the vibrations through the bed-back-rest-rim and the wall when one rests his head on the cushion. Only they know if they are trying to rip the upper surface of the wall of Mudita’s house (27) or they are trying to bring the entire wall down.

1100: I decided to go upstairs and meet Mudita (27) for what was going on and how long this construction work was going to continue. I went up and there was Suresh and Salaudeen entering the house on coming from the second lift. He tells me that he knows nothing of the construction work of the society and that Mudita too shouldn’t know that. I told him that I had specifically come to meet her as she an executive member, but as I showed him the work going on the ground floor with the cutting of thick tiles, he says Mudita is not home and that she probably won’t be able answer about the society work either, WTF. Of the construction inside his house (for the renovation), he said it will be over by one month and half.

I had specifically put band aid on my left hand as I was paining in the wrist and would feel week when it will come to picking up some weight keeping the arm high, like picking up a water-jug.

• Project group: Mukesh had been missing and no sign of him of what he wants to do about the project. I talked to Kohli and there was some issue in there group so that Mukesh was going to be in his group and Shukla in mine. Shukla had broken up from his group of four where someone else had entered (Nitin Sukhija, Keshav, Nitish, and Love). Shukla was with Kohli.

• After eating, I went out for a fifteen minutes walk that comprises of going on the outside street from society to the right until the corner of Sahyog Apartment near Pink-Hanuman-temple.

2013 Feb 27 (Complaint of Anshu and Tanuja to the NIEC aka ADGITM CEO)

Index of Journals
27-Feb-13

• Wore same outfit as I wore on 19-Feb and they were throwing bulls**t on me.

• That Organizational Behavior was seen to throw reminders of Anshu (Communication Skills teacher) a number of times

• Then after the exam, I saw Anshu in the next class in light green aqua (was it neon green) ladies’ suit / body hugging kurti, all beefed up again, and the curly feather hair-do.

• Thunderbolts went up in my head.

• I went to complain to the CEO, at the reception, I spoke to this lady-attendant.

• As I was climbing the stairs, a guy held his phone up for video shooting me, crazy.

• She allowed me for a complaint, she had phoned inside and I was allowed in.

• No need for name, he said. I said I am CSE final year student.

• I entered the room and stood at the door as I saw his room and him working. He looked for a moment and then I came forth to take the seat all nice and easy. It was no point why I was going to stand when he was not even looking, so I considered that an opportunity.

• I was quiet for some time first before speaking up when he looked up from his work to see me for once. I didn’t have in my head that if he says he doesn’t know anything, what I was going to say.

• As I said out my name and he wrote it in his pad, it came out clear that he didn’t know sh*t. I had to now think what I was going to say, he was expecting for a proper complaint. He asked me if that was the teacher’s name. I then said that the names of teachers are ‘Anshu and Tanuja’, hoping that he might look up or something, but now I know he was seriously under some rock all this long.

• I was quiet as I didn’t want to break down either in tears or in words. At a moment, he raised his voice to say out in his rustic accent “you haven’t said anything; it has been an hour, five minutes since you have been sitting like this.”

• When I spoke in English, he told me he was not able to understand me and that I should use Hindi.

• He asked me to say more in the complaint in order for him to understand, I told him they try to provoke contact by standing in the way of the student and throwing glances. By now, I had already learnt that I should not be complaining to this person, and I told him to not take a complaint and it is just if he knows anything about it or not. It was fast, he missed the last part.

• He asked me if by ‘provoking contact’ I meant, ‘hitting, beating, shouting, or if complain was about them not teaching well’. To this, I said ‘no, their teaching is fine’.

• Fifth semester 'Organizational Behavior' teacher passed from behind me in the library. Her face saying ‘sorry’ for my condition and not for what they are doing.

• Tanuja Nautiyal Backstabber had come to the exam room and she stood at the door to watch here. She has been back in her straight falling hair from the curly near shoulders.

2000-2200: I made calls to a whole lot of people for project and grouping.

From Seema aunt’s phone and in the middle of that, a call for aunt came from her dad's house.

I called people, called them back if they didn’t pick up, conversation lasting for around 5 minutes, knowing their group, etc.
