By moving them underground, we eliminate these fire hazards and make our neighborhoods much safer.

CM Gupta herself pointed out how these wires often block our view, especially in narrow lanes where even two scooters struggle to pass. This project, for which ₹100 crore has been allocated in the budget, is truly a gift to the people of Delhi, promising a cleaner, more open urban landscape.

Minister Ashish Sood, who joined the CM at the inauguration, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the government's commitment to strengthening Delhi's power infrastructure. This move isn't just about looks; it's about building a more robust and reliable electricity system for everyone.

**Tackling Waterlogging Too!**

But that's not all! CM Gupta also tackled another pressing issue that plagues Delhi every monsoon: waterlogging. Following heavy rains on Thursday, she expressed serious concern about city-wide flooding and demanded immediate action from officials.

While there was good news for Minto Road and ITO crossings, which remained clear this time, the Chief Minister stressed that similar efficiency is needed across the entire city. She held a special meeting with top officials from the PWD and irrigation departments, making it clear that "any kind of negligence will not be tolerated." Her instructions were simple: take immediate and effective measures, and continuously check and clear out those roadside drains to prevent water from collecting.

These initiatives show a clear commitment from the Delhi government to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
