Delhi's Traffic Nightmare? A 'Super Six' Plan is Here to Help!
If you live in Delhi or have ever driven through it, you know the drill: endless traffic jams, honking horns, and wasted hours. It's a daily struggle that affects millions. But there's good news on the horizon! Both the Delhi and Central governments are joining forces on a massive plan to untangle the city's notorious traffic snarls.
This ambitious initiative, dubbed the 'Super Six' stage, involves six major road projects that will cover a total of 128 kilometers and cost a whopping Rs 23,850 crore (that's nearly 240 billion rupees!). The goal is simple: make your commute faster, smoother, and less stressful.
So, what exactly are these 'Super Six' projects?
Imagine new expressways and extensions that let long-distance traffic bypass central Delhi entirely, reducing pressure on already crowded roads. Here are some key highlights:

Eastern Extension of UER-II: A significant 65-kilometer road that will connect the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway all the way to Noida, Ghaziabad, and Faridabad. This means a crucial alternative route, helping you avoid the city's internal traffic hotspots.
Underground Tunnel: A 5-kilometer signal-free tunnel linking Dwarka Expressway with Nelson Mandela Marg in South Delhi. This will be a game-changer for areas like Dhaula Kuan and Rao Tula Ram Marg, offering direct, faster travel.
Elevated Corridor: A 20-kilometer elevated road stretching from AIIMS towards Faridabad Road. This will act as a parallel route, easing the load on NH48 and connecting major city routes more efficiently.
Kalindi Kunj Interchange: A new interchange at this infamous congestion point will significantly improve movement between Delhi, Noida, and Faridabad.
Expressway Extensions: Crucial extensions to the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway will provide seamless connectivity for traffic coming from Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and Punjab towards Delhi, Gurgaon, and the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Tronica City Link: A 17-kilometer link from NH344M to Tronica City, further enhancing regional connectivity.
